The Rise Up Initiative began in 2020. Representative Soter recognized that many families and individuals were struggling amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. To make the situation worse, families and friends could not gather as they typically would have.

To fill the gap, Representative Soter launched the Rise Up Initiative. Under this program, the Representative works with local restaurants and volunteers to prepare and distribute hundreds of Easter meals to the 8th Worcester District's sensitive populations.
